5 Maintenance

T Remove the filter cartridge extension from the Welcome

Pack.

T Fit the filter extension on top of a CLEARYL Blue filter car-

tridge.

T Remove and empty the water tank.

T Open the filter holder and insert the filter cartridge into the

water tank, exerting slight pressure.

T Close the filter holder. It will click into place audibly.

T Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert the

tank.

k T Press the Rotary Switch.

‘Filter is being rinsed.’, the filter is rinsed. Rinsing of the filter

ops auto

matically. ‘Empty drip tray.’ appears on the dis-

play.

Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container and put

them back into the machine.

‘Filter’ / ‘Filter rinsing complete.’

The machine heats up. ‘Please select product:’ appears on

the displa

ur GIGA is once more ready for use.

E After 2000 oz (60 liters) of water have flowed through or after

three months, the filter will cease to work. Your GIGA will auto-

matically prompt you to change the filter.

E If the CLEARYL Blue filter cartridge is not activated in program-

ming mode, you will not be prompted to change the filter.

Example: Proceed as follows to change the filter when prompted to

do so.

Precondition: ‘Change the filter’ and the c symbol are displa

yed.

O T Press the P button.

‘Maintenance status (1/5)’

Press the ‘Change the filter’ button.

Press the ‘Start’ button.

T Press the ‘Sta

rt’ button again.

‘Change filter.’ / ‘Press the Rotary Switch.’

Remove and empty the water tank.

T O

pen the filter holder and remove the old CLEARYL Blue fil-

ter cartridge and filter extension.

T Fit the filter extension on top of a new filter cartridge.
